Testimonials

  • I had the opportunity to travel with Dave Nelson as he and Melvin Nicholson led our group of photographers on a recent Icelandic adventure. Dave has been to Iceland countless times and is well-informed and well-connected…. He led and drove through often white-out conditions to get us to the right locations for epic photography. He worked tirelessly to insure that everyone in our group enjoyed our time. He always had a smile on his face and a good story to tell…. While driving, shooting, time for drinks or meals…..Dave was always available. He is an accomplished photographer and willing to share his knowledge and expertise. All in all, Dave was a pleasure to be around, and I look forward to our next adventure together. Find some time to travel with Dave….you won’t be disappointed!!!

  • I met Dave on a photographic workshop trip to Iceland where he was working with Landscape Locations. Dave is a very accomplished photographer in his own right but was also a brilliant guide for those of us on the workshop. He has spent many months photographing Iceland and has an in depth knowledge of the country in terms of the best locations. He is also incredibly easy going and helpful when it comes to making sure clients get the absolute best out of the workshops. This extends to both his technical knowledge and also tips on composition etc. All in all a top bloke and one I very much look forward to photographing with again in the future

  • Dave is such a giving and talented photographer.... I was really struggling trying to capture long exposure images with the waves at the beaches and he was very clear in all his explanations on camera settings and composition of the frame... Icing on the cake is that Dave has a wicked sense of humor and it was a blast!

  • We went on a wonderful photo tour with Dave Nelson Photography while in Scotland, and I shot many special photos that day!! Dave Nelson was a great technical resource, helping me to get the best shots and teaching me some new techniques. He was also a well informed local guide, aware of the best vantage point to access the spectacular scenery, and maximizing the time we had to see what was most important and interesting to us. And he was a lovely companion - fun to be with, relaxed, informative, flexible with plans, and helpful with equipment, as well as knowledgeable about history and culture of the region. And he provided a fantastic lunch, complete with tablet he made himself! Not only do we have photos that we are well pleased with, but also memories of a very special day!
